The Tmax range of molded-case circuit breakers is now completed with two new sizes rated up to 600 A at 600V AC. A result of an extensive research project, ABB's patented Tmax, T4 and T5 extend industrial performance barriers to deliver far more protection in a small molded case enclosure. The Tmax T4 and T5 breakers can provide 150 kA at 480 V AC, 85 kA at 600 V AC breaking capacity. The T4 is rated for up to 250A and is the most compact breaker (4 x 4 x 8 in.) available today. The T5 is rated at up to 600A while only slightly larger. Their high trip capacity reduces electro- dynamic stress and allows optimized sizing of cables, busbars, ducts and supports.
