Latest automotive innovation of CML: a LED flashlight
The latest Dodge Caliber features one of the hottest innovation of CML for the automotive industry: a LED flashlight integrated into a rear dome lamp unit.
Flashlight’s brightness can be regulated for several usages: directional light, flashing light and off position. White LEDs are driven by an electronic circuit to ensure the correct loading, and a red LED plays the role of a charge indicator. The whole unit can be easily catch in hand, and identified by two logos. The first one placed on the flashlight itself features a symbolic image of a domestic flashlight; the second one, placed on the dome lamp housing, names textually the functionality.
Due to the use of rechargeable batteries, the flashlight has autonomy of 1 hour. It can be used in different types of situation, either inside or outside the car: to seek for a lost object under the seat, to seek in a handbag, to repair a burst tire, to signalize an emergency stop...
