E-Switch Introduces Rugged Illuminated Rocker Switches

BROOKLYN PARK, MN - E-Switch has introduced the R5 Series of illuminated, rectangular panel-mount DPDT rocker switches for use in AC power control and similar applications for appliances, lamps, computers, and other consumer electronic devices. The ergonomically designed switches are made from rugged Nylon 66 and feature a mechanical life greater than 30,000 cycles.

The two-position DPDT, R5 illuminated rocker switches are rated at 20 amps @ 125 VAC and 15 amps @ 250 VAC, with an initial contact resistance of 0.2 ohms. The non-illuminated, three-position DPDT, R5 rocker switches are rated at 15 amps @ 125 VAC and 10 amps @ 250 VAC. Momentary two- and three-position non-illuminated rocker switches are also available. Contact surfaces are coin silver with silver plating for low resistance and durability. Terminals are silver plated brass for easy soldering and assembly.

The R5 rocker switches snap-mount in a 30.6 mm x 22.3 mm rectangular hole on panels up to 3 mm thick. The illumination can be neon or incandescent bulb in yellow, green or red. Non-illuminated actuators are available in black, white, red, gray and orange. The housing color is either black or white. Technical drawings can be downloaded from the E-Switch web site.
