IDEC announces an upgrade to the IDEC SmartRelay series. Now there are expansion I/O units available to enhance this universal logic module and create an even more customized control and monitoring solution.

The IDEC SmartRelay FL1B series fills the need for a small, flexible control and monitoring device. Each base CPU module has 12 built-in I/O points (8 in, 4 out), a real-time clock and calendar, and some models also feature an on-board display and keypad. These CPUs are replacing older models from series FL1A, which are not expandable.

There are four available expansion modules: three combination I/O modules with 4 input and 4 output points, and a 2-point analog input module (0-10V, 0-20mA). A maximum of 16 extra inputs and 12 extra digital outputs can be added to the CPU, as well as 8 analog inputs for a total of 48 I/O points; the maximum number of expansion modules is four combination modules and four analog modules.

IDEC also offers an updated version of WindLGC programming software. WindLGC 3.0 is required to program systems with expansion modules.
