History of the Company

Macromatic was formed on May 1, 1975 when Malcolm Smith purchased the electronic product line from Intermatic Company. For the next decade, it operated as an independent business in Chicago. In 1987, Macromatic was sold to Milwaukee Electronics Corporation of Milwaukee, WI. The operations were moved to the Milwaukee Electronics factory and Macromatic operated as a division of the parent company. On March 1, 1997, Macromatic was sold to John Perdue, formerly the Division Manager, and is now known as Macromatic Controls LLC, an independent company once again.

Who Uses Our Controls?

A wide variety of challenges can be met by using our industrial products. Macromatic's customer base includes OEM's who specify Macromatic controls in their equipment, and end users who count on Macromatic precision and reliability for their own applications.

Why Choose Macromatic Controls?

Long known for their precision and reliability, Macromatic products are increasingly the choice of industrial design engineers for use in new equipment and are preferred by maintenance personnel as quality replacements in existing applications. We test each product twice before it is shipped, and all products have an extensive warranty period longer than most other manufacturers. Most standard and custom design products are UL recognized or listed and CSA approved.
