July 2006—Schaumburg, IL USA—Omron Electronic Components LLC announces the availability of the G5LE-E series of power PCB relays that switch a whopping 16AMPS at 250VAC. The industry standard “sugar cube” size (19.6Wx22.5Dx15.2H(mm) and pin-out, means these relays will drop-in to existing PCB layouts. The relays’ coils available in 5, 12, & 24VDC versions have a low power consumption of 360mW and an extended temperature class F insulation system is standard. The G5LE-E is available in SPST-NO or SPDT contact configurations. These relays are also capable of switching digital signals, making them very versatile in multiple applications including HVAC, consumer & commercial appliances. The relays are flux sealed and are fully RoHS compliant. The G5LE-E operates in a temperature range of -40 to +85°C, and has an electrical life of 50,000 operations minimum. The relay can also operate in a temperature range of -40 to +105°C with a 12Amp load and are UL508, CSA22.2, and EN61810-1 UL rated. Their impulse withstand voltage is 4.5kV for 1.2 x 50C seconds.
