Miniature Current Transformer TCS-0X Series

Tamura introduces a new series of current transformers to augment their current sensor line.
These new high frequency SQPS current transformers provide a low power signal proportional to one or more AC input
currents. These transformers are typically used to measure current and power; detect current thresholds and
differentials between currents; and are typically used for metering and digital control applications. Whereas
active current sensors are very accurate for demanding and high current applications, the passive current
transformers are a low cost solution for lower power requirements.
The TCS-0X Series, the first of a family of new current transformers, is rated for 0-6 Amps RMS, includes 8 variations of Turns Ratios from 1:20 to 1:125 and frequency ranges from 250 KHz to 1 MHz. They are SMT mount and - as you can see in the photograph - very small.
