ALCOSWITCH Snap-Action Switches Handle High Cycles and Fit Many Applications
HARRISBURG, Pa., May 1, 2003 - Tyco Electronics today introduced a new line of miniature and subminiature snap-action switches. The ALCOSWITCH brand switches are available with a wide variety of actuators, current ratings and actuation forces making them suitable for many industrial and commercial applications. Specifically, ALCOSWITCH snap-action switches can be used in instrumentation, household appliances, vending machines, industrial control systems, medical equipment and security systems.
Designers can select from a miniature version or a sub-miniature version. The switches are rated for currents from 0.1A up to 16A with solder tab, quick connect tab or solder tail wire termination. Color coding on the exterior of the switch identifies the current rating.
The switches can be equipped for lever or roller actuation and can be direct actuated (without a lever or roller). Levers are available in short, normal and long sizes with short and normal rollers available too. These switches can be ordered with actuation forces from 40 grams to 350 grams. SPDT, SPNC and SPNO versions are available
