New Contactor Reduces Size, Weight and Cost
The KILOVAC CAP200 series contactor is now available. Designed specifically for demanding commercial ace applications, the CAP200 is intended to be the smallest, lightest, lowest cost, sealed contactor in the industry with its contact rating. The CAP200 series has 1 Form A (SPST-NO) contacts rated to switch and continuously carry 600 amps from 12-900VDC at 85 degrees C. A 1 Form A auxiliary contact set, rated 2 amps at 30VDC or 3 amps at 125VAC, is optionally available for monitoring purposes.
The CAP 200 can operate in many harsh environments. Its hermetically sealed design prevents performance degrading oxidation and contamination of its coil or contacts when operated in such environments. This performance is not reduced even when the contactor is subjected to long idle periods.
Standard models have coils rated for 9-36VDC, 32-95VDC or 48-95VDC. A standard built-in coil economizer limits coil-holding power to just 1.7 watts at 12VDC. It also limits back EMF to 0V. Models without the built-in economizer are available on a special order basis.
The CAP200 weighs in at just under one pound (.43kg) and measures about 2.58 x 3.17 x 2.85 inches (65.6 x 80.5 x 72.3 mm) tall. It is UL recognized for the U.S. and Canada (file E208033) and CE marked.
