Kingbright has developed a Dual Blue SMD LED display that is said to offer additional flexibility in sizes and color, higher reliability, improved efficiency, and significant cost reduction to the production phase. In addition to their dual nature, the surface-mount device (SMD) displays are available in alphanumeric and single-digit APSA series with blue color selection. Man Yu, Kingbright engineering manager, says that the goal when designing the new devices was to revitalize the LED display arena with enhanced maneuverability and reliability for product designers that deal with super-thin membrane switch applications widely used in the appliance industry.
