MOISTURE RESISTANT ROCKER SWITCHES HAVE HORSEPOWER RATINGS

APEM's FM Series switches provide more resistance to moisture then mo st others due to their unique double shell case design. Moisture from condensation or spilled liquids that enter the switch around the rocker actuator are trapped in a recess formed between the double case walls and conducted outside by vent holes at the ends of the case. The additional internal case walls prevent moisture from entering the area of the case where the contact mechanism and other moving parts are located. Added protection from splashing liquids and sand is also available with a translucent PVC boot option. SPST and SPDT models make up this series with ON-OFF, ON-ON, OFF-MOM and ON-OFF-ON configurations.

Contact ratings for the ON-OFF models are 10(4)A 250VAC T85fC and 10A 125VAC or 6A 250VAC T65fC. Initial contact resistance is 20 milliohms max. and switches have an electrical life of 10,000 cycles min. and a mechanical life of 50,000 cycles min. All FM models are UL and VDE recog-nized.

Numerous cosmetic color options are offered for the rocker actuator and case, and both illuminated and non-illuminated models are available. The illuminated models have a choice of neon or fluorescent lamps and colored lens selections. For the illuminated models, the lens is judiciously placed at the end corner of the actuator for ease of visibility from any direction. Solder lugs, quick-connects and printed circuit terminals are also optional. The FM switches snap fit into an international standard panel cutout 19mm x 13mm (.750" x .508").

Applications for these models include household appliances, radio controls, alarm systems, instrumentation, air-conditioning, musical instruments, soldering irons and many more.
