New miniature photoelectric sensor uses laser to detect faster, smaller & farther!

Joining the popular and cost-effective miniature SA1E family of photoelectric sensors, we now have new SA1E-L laser models.


These Class 1 laser models were designed for accurate and reliable detection. Perfect for applications requiring:


  • Detection of fast moving objects where a fast response sensor is required
  • Detection of very small objects where infrared or red LED can't reliably detect
  • Detection through narrow or limited spaces where the light needs to be very small to pass through
  • Detection at a long distance


With its miniature size and fast response time of only 250 micro seconds, SA1E-L is the fastest in its class. This visible, red laser allows for easy optic axis alignment and precision mounting.


The SA1E family offers seven different optical functions: through-beam, polarized retro-reflective, polarized retro-reflective for transparent objects, diffuse-reflective, small-beam reflective, convergent and background suppression. SA1E-L models allow you to choose from through-beam, background suppression and polarized retroreflective using Class 1 laser light.


Through-beam models are capable of detecting objects up to 30 meters, while the polarized retro-reflective and background suppression models detect objects at up to 10 meters and 300mm respectively. These laser models also have a built-in mode where users can select Dark ON or Light ON operation. Available models include 1 meter, 2 meter or 5 meter cables, or an M8 connector. All SA1E sensors are IP67 rated (dust and water resistant), cULus and CE compliant.
