VERSATILE SUBMINIATURE PUSHBUTTON SWITCHES SOLVE TIGHT FIT PROBLEMS

APEM'S 9000 series subminiature momentary pushbutton switches are ultra-compact with their .255" diameter by .240" to .314" long body size and their .096" diameter actuator (body length is dependent upon model selected). They are ideal for those applications where space on a front panel or a printed circuit board is so tight that a standard miniature switch cannot be accommodated. Applications include hand-held controls and digital assistants, various radio and communications equipment, portable com-puter games and many others.

These single pole normally open or normally closed models also feature either self-cleaning (wiping action) contacts for maximum reliability or butt acting contacts, as well as a front panel sealing option that protects against water and dust entry. All models are supplied with epoxy sealed terminals for additional sealing protection.

The panel mounted models fit into a .185" diameter hole and are secured with a mounting nut supplied. The printed circuit models include vertical mount straight terminals, with or without restraining bracket, and right angle mounting configurations. Color caps in 8 cosmetic colors that snap fit onto the actuator are available as an option.

Resistive load contact rating is 100 mA at 30 VDC for these tiny switches. Other electricals include 30 milliohms max. contact resistance, 100,000 to 250,000 cycles of electrical life, depending on model selected, and dielectric strength of 500 V rms between terminals and 1000 V rms between terminals and case. They are designed to operate in a temperature range from -30fC to 65fC.
