Carling Technologies Asia Pacific has received CCC, China Compulsory Certificate, a compulsory certification required by the Chinese government to import all electrical and electronic products, and to sell into the China market. Carling Technologies is the first hydraulic magnetic circuit breaker manufacturer to successfully obtain this certification in China.

The governing body in China that handles CCC is the CQC - China Quality Certification Center. Although they have their own set of standards, they are based on the IEC standards which are used by VDE and TUV.

Carling A, B, C and M-Series breakers are certified to the Chinese standard GB17701, which is equivalent to IEC 60934. In addition the C Series is also certified to GB14048.2 which is equivalent to IEC 60947-2.

China has integrated its two compulsory inspection systems, one to check contents of products for import and export, and the other for quality control, into a single procedure as part of its commitment for entry into the World Trade Organization. Two symbols used by the two systems, namely "CCIB" (Safety Mark, introduced in 1989 and required for products in 47 product categories) and "CCEE" (also known as "Great Wall" Mark, for electrical commodities in 7 product categories), have been unified and replaced by the symbol "CCC" (China Compulsory Certificate).

Imported products without CCC mark may be held at the border by Chinese Customs and subject to other penalties. Component parts of a manufacturer's finished products may also require CCC certification, where the component manufacturer would be required to apply for the CCC mark. By having the CCC mark, Carling products, and our customer's products, with CCC mark on required components, can be imported into and sold in the China market.
