Cherry Offers High-Temperature Speed Sensor
Cherry Electrical Products' new GS101205 is a self-adjusting digital output Hall-effect speed sensor for use in applications where resistance to high temperature, shock and vibration is required. The single hall design is immune to alignment issues, allowing unlimited mounting positions. The sensor also contains circuitry that protects it from EMI and ESD exposure.
The sensor has been validated against the IEC529 IP67 standard for immersion, and the device has been tested for environmental chemical exposure per SAE J1455, Section 4.4.1 which includes immersion in engine and transmission oils. The housing is made from durable Stanyl. Its resistance to environmental extremes makes it suitable for a wide range of speed sensing requirements in transmission, engine, and braking applications.
Manufactured with an open collector output, the GS101205 will require a customer supplied pull-up resistor. The sensor is capable of operating at 150 degrees C under defined conditions. An integral Metri Pak 150 connector is standard.
