Brushless DC Motors
Brushless motors promise to be quite silent. Their revolutionary technology involves no brushes, no friction and therefore no noise. Up to 20% quieter than traditional dc motors, they are perfect for ventilation and heating equipment. Moreover, the electronic switches mean there is no wear. Brushless motors have a much longer working life when used at the optimum output of 75%. Crouzet's own range is designed to achieve better dynamic performance levels and at the same time eliminate any risk of injury during handling. But the major advantage of this range is unquestionably the fact that the electronic control system is built in, making it easier to use and avoiding any risk for the components. The user can vary the speed from 10 to 100% by means of a 0-10 V analogue signal or PWM signal. The nominal speed ranges from 3400 to 6500 rpm, reaching even 10 000 or 25 000 rpm on certain special models. Some versions feature control loops. Two digital inputs are provided respectively for the on-off and rotation controls. An encoder output is also available.
