MMS Reed Sensor

The MMS line of surface-mount reed sensors are especially designed for low voltage and low power switching microelectromechanical (MEMS) devices. The micro machined miniature sensors, which are designed for a maximum of 3 volts direct current (VDC), are ideal for medical pacemakers and insulin pumps, as well as telecommunications and cell phones.

  • MMS sensor features 109 ohm insulation resistance across the contacts
  • High shock resistance up to 5,000 G's
  • Needs no external circuitry, magnet-actuated, requiring no power consumption
  • The sensor is available in a high shock resistance surface mount device (SMD) package measuring only 0.188-inches long, 0.484-inches wide and 0.047-inches high.
  • It comes in two lead designs: flat, straight and flat, bent
  • The MMS sensor line also includes a raw switch die form, measuring only 0.130-inches long, 035-inches wide and 0.022-inches high
